Poulett Morales has U.S. visa revoked

She blamed the decision on articles in La Prensa.

The United States government has revoked the visa it issued to Poulett Morales, who is being investigated by the second anti-corruption prosecutor for irregularities in the National Assistance Program (PAN).

Asked about the decision, Morales blamed La Prensa and other media that have published stories about the case.

"They took it me because of you, because of the press. [But] I can continue I am going to Europe where I have other vendors," she said. "And once this situation is over, they will return it to me."

Morales also tried to implicate a member of the family of La Prensa founder Roberto Eisemann, and said that she has evidence that connects that person to the case.

"I've been quiet, because it is not right to repay a wrong with a wrong," she said.

Although she did not mention him by name, Morales was referring to Pablo Andrés Ruiz Obregón, who is married to a the granddaughter of Eisenmann who is also being investigated for irregularities in the PAN program.

Subsequently, on Telemetro, Morales said there is a list of 85 people who have had their visas revoked.

During the last government, Morales, owner of the boutique DHD, obtained contracts worth up to $10 million to sell backpacks to the Ministry of Education that were paid for by the PAN.
