Moore continues criticism of decision in radar case

The decision resulted in the release of the two defendants in the case.

Temas:

Third Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Zuleyka Moore Tuesday described a ruling in the case involving irregularities in the purchase of radars as "contradictory" and "biased."

That decision resulted in part of the case against former Minister of Security José Raúl Mulino and former Deputy Minister Alejandro Garuz being dismissed and the men being released from restrictive custody.

Moore has appealed the decision to the Second Superior Court.

The prosecutor pointed out that decision contained contradictions and that the judge acted with bias.

Defense lawyers have rejected these characterizations.

The case is focused on the purchase of radars from a subsidiary of the Italian defense contractor Finmeccanica.
