Former Vice President Arturo Vallarino presented documentation Friday to the General Secretariat of the National Assembly that will allow him to compete in the election to fill the upcoming vacancy on the Tribunal Electoral (TE).
Accompanied by relatives, including Deputy Marylín Vallarino, Vallarino presented the documentation that will qualify him to replace Judge Erasmo Pinilla, whose term expires in December.
Former Chiriquí Deputy Raúl Rodríguez also submitted documents to qualify himself for the position Friday.
The Credentials Committee of the Assembly opened the application period Monday, and it closed today.
There are 15 other applicants, including Ingrid Murgas Torrazza, Neftalí Jaén, Luis Fuentes Montenegro, Cristina Torres Ubillús, Gilberto De Icaza, Olmedo Arrocha, Dilio Arcia, Ceila Peñalba, Javier Ordinola, Alfredo Juncá, Edwin Medina, Yara Campos, Juan Pérez Cortéz, Carla Ruiz and Martín Wilson.
