The government has begun moving the bodies of the victims of a fatal bus crash in Antón Sunday back to Bocas del Toro, where they were from.

A total of 18 people, all from indigenous communities in Bocas del Toro, were killed in the accident. Relatives came to Coclé to identify the bodies today, and now they coffins will be flown to the Rambala airstrip in Bocas del Toro for the transfer back to their communities by helicopter, as many of them can't be reached by vehicles.

Fernando Royo, an official of the Presidency of the Republic, is coordinating the return of the remains, as well as their families and people injured in the accident, which happened when a bus driver lost control of his vehicle, and it overturned into a river.

Dozens of people were injured in the accident, which is still under investigation. The people on the bus were all agricultural workers on their way to Chame.
